To all Del-Aire© pneumatic
system users:
Reports have
reached us at the California & Oregon Coast Railway that E-Z Air
Motion
Control© and Del-Aire© are somehow
connected; that E-Z Air© is Del-Aire© renamed; that E-Z Air© bought Del-Aire©, etc.
I will put the
record straight: There is NO
connection between E-Z Air© and Del-Aire©.
The California
&
Oregon Coast Railway became a Del-Aire© dealer in 1998.
Aside from
problems with certain Del-Aire© items, it was a
mostly satisfactory
line of products. When Del-Aire© became totally
uncommunicative and
their products became unavailable in the first half of 2003, our
customers were left with no source of parts for repair or components
for expansion of
their pneumatic control systems. A few of us dealers did help each
other out with sharing of Del-Aire© inventory, but that
was soon
exhausted. C&OC Ry. took its Del-Aire© kits apart to supply
toggles
and "motors" and manifolds for our customers until there were none left.
The E-Z Air© line
was started to supply the needs of our customers. To avoid certain
problems of the Del-Aire© system, the internal
design of the E-Z Air©
actuator is totally different. We kept the actuator the same
outward physical size for backwards compatibility with the Del-Aire© "motor".
The air pressure required and the tubing size were kept the same for
the same reason. The rest of the E-Z Air© system is the result
of
research and testing to find the best quality components at the most
reasonable prices.
If you have Del-Aire© components that are
failing, or have failed, E-Z Air© has
corresponding components to keep your system
operating. If you want to expand your Del-Aire© system, E-Z Air© has the
compatible components that you need to do so.
There are no Del-Aire© components available
from California & Oregon Coast
Railway. C&OC Ry. does not
repair, replace or guarantee any Del-Aire© products.
If you wish to
attempt repair of your Del-Aire© "motors", the only
parts available
from hardware supply houses are the springs, O-rings and snap
rings. C&OC Ry. does not
stock any of these these items.
